Warehouse Operative (Picking & Packing)

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Internal Provision Service Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient shopping and sundry provision service to the prisoner population. You will be working in a warehouse-type environment, managing orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods within the prison.

Key Responsibilities:
– Order Processing: Accurately pick, scan, and pack individual provision orders within agreed timescales.
– Stock Management: Conduct weekly/monthly physical stock checks, record stock reports, and investigate discrepancies.
– Goods Delivery: Manage the loading and offloading of goods to prisoner accommodation areas.
– Stock Receiving: Receive and check the weekly Canteen stock delivery.
– Support Role: Assist the Finance and Admin department with processing weekly prisoner wages and other tasks as directed.

Requirements:
– Experience in a similar role, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment.
– Strong organisational and time-management skills.
– Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including manual handling.
– Proficiency in using computerised systems for order processing.
