Are you an accomplished Senior Project Manager with a passion for delivering impactful projects?

Our Central Belt-based client is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join their team on a contract until November 2025. The role offers the flexibility to work largely from home, though regular attendance at offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh will be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints are met while maintaining quality outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, business representatives, and third-party organisations, to align project goals with organisational needs.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor accurate forecasts for resource allocation and budgetary requirements, ensuring efficient utilisation and accountability.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans using tools like MS Project or MS Project Online, tracking progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies as required.
  • Apply Prince2 Practitioner methodologies (or equivalent frameworks) to manage project lifecycles effectively and ensure compliance with organisational standards and processes.

Key Applicant Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager with a track record of successful project delivery, ideally within a software development setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in engaging with diverse stakeholders, including staff from technical and business areas, as well as third-party organisations.
  • Skilled in forecasting and maintaining resource and budgetary requirements for projects.
  • Proficient in MS Project, with exposure to MS Project Online considered an advantage.
  • Experience within the educational sector is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with managing and delivering business projects is an asset.
  • Prince2 Practitioner certification (or equivalent experience) is essential.
