Are you a skilled and analytical Senior Business Analyst looking for your next opportunity?

Our public sector client is currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their team on an initial 3-month contract.

About the Role

As part of this project, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the migration of the Funding Application Process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Mapping business processes and documenting requirements to ensure seamless migration.
  • Delivering the following key project outcomes:
    • Detailed requirements and validation criteria for migrating application forms from Word documents to an online system.
    • Comprehensive “as-is” and “to-be” process maps of the end-to-end application process.
    • Collaboration with developers and QA teams to develop test criteria and scripts.
    • Coordination with project managers and process owners to produce training materials.

What You’ll Bring

Essential Skills

  • A degree qualification and/or significant experience in a Business Analysis role.
  • Extensive experience in business analysis, including gathering and documenting detailed requirements and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management and planning skills, including the ability to manage risks within processes.
  • Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with project teams and customers.

Desirable Skills

  • Proficiency in using Visio to document processes, considering controls and dependencies.
  • Familiarity with Granicus Gov Service and digital funding platform delivery.
  • Experience in both Traditional and Agile project methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce training materials and deliver workshops to support system deployment.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Additional Information

  • You must be based within a commutable distance to Edinburgh and Stirling, as travel between these locations is required for this role.
