Are you ready to help keep our roads safe and well-maintained all year round? We are looking for a hardworking and motivated Road Worker to join our dedicated team!

We are looking for Road Workers within Ardgay, Dornoch, Brora, Kinlochbervie, Lochinver & Wick.

Job Purpose:
Carry out road and winter maintenance duties as directed.
Operate HGV vehicles, including snow ploughs, to ensure safe road conditions.
Participate in all aspects of roads and winter maintenance.
Provide cover, when required, for street sweeping, grounds maintenance, burials, and refuse collection tasks.

Key Responsibilities as a Road Worker;
Carry out all aspects of roads and winter maintenance, including gritting and snow plough driving.
Assist in specialist road operations such as resurfacing, surface dressing, and drainage works.
Provide cover for street sweeping, grounds maintenance, burials, and refuse collection when required.
Operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and construction-related equipment.

We are looking for individuals who are:
Experienced in road maintenance work.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Ideal Skills & Experience:
Experience with specialist road maintenance such as white lining, paving, and drainage works.
Flexible, with a desire to learn new skills.
Ability to use your own initiative to tackle a variety of tasks.
