Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Public Sector Client
Contract – Outside IR35
Hybrid – Edinburgh/Glasgow

We’re looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join a leading public sector client within their Change & Digital Innovation (CDi) team. If you have a strong background in functional and automation testing, this role offers the opportunity to lead QA strategies across a range of high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in building functional and automation QA frameworks for multiple projects.
Collaborate with teams to design automated solutions for various public sector applications.
Create and maintain automated regression and smoke test packs with version control.
Provide QA leadership and produce high-quality test plans, evidence, and completion reports.
Conduct daily automated test execution and functional validation.
Lead root cause analysis and issue resolution.
Contribute to daily stand-ups and continuous improvement of QA best practices.
Collaborate with developers to shift testing left and manage defects.

Key Skills & Technologies:

Proficient in QA tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, Zephyr.
Automation expertise with Selenium, WebDriverIO, Cypress.
Test Reporting via Cucumber.
Familiar with version control: GIT, Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
Strong knowledge of languages: C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, .NET, SQL.
Experience with Cloud/Azure solutions and API validation via Postman.
ISEB/ISTQB Foundation certified.
Experience with MS Dynamics, Power Apps, and Power Platform is a plus.
Contract Details:

BPSS clearance required (or willing to undergo BPSS)
