Job Opportunity: HR Adviser
Location: Glasgow
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £135 per day
Contact: 4-8 weeks

Are you an experienced HR professional ready to make a meaningful impact? ASA are working with a public sector client who are looking for an HR Adviser to join their team. You will provide proactive, high-quality HR services to staff, ensuring the effective management of employee relations, recruitment, policy implementation, and organisational development.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage employee relations (ER) cases within your designated area, including absence management, grievance, disciplinary, and capability processes.
· Assist the HR Manager in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures aligned with legislation and best practices.
· Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers on all aspects of HR policies and processes.
· Support recruitment campaigns, from creating job adverts to participating in interview panels.
· Promote health and welfare initiatives, including referrals to occupational health and supporting phased returns to work.
· Deliver casework, training, and support for the wider HR team on issues such as flexible working, absence, and maternity/paternity cases.
· Ensure the accuracy of HR and payroll data, meeting deadlines in compliance with legislation and organisational procedures.
· Contribute to strategic initiatives such as job evaluation, employee engagement, and reward strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Skills and Experience
· CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) or working towards it.
· Strong understanding of employment law, equality and diversity legislation, and data protection regulations.
· Proven experience in managing employee relations cases and providing HR advice.
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
· Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
· Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
