Are you a detail-oriented Finance professional looking for your next contract opportunity?

ASA’s public sector client is seeking a Finance Officer to provide essential administrative support within the Finance team. This role involves processing purchase orders, managing invoices, and assisting contract managers in financial administration. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, time management skills, and experience in financial administration.

Key Responsibilities:
· Process purchase orders and invoices within the financial system.
· Manage and respond to emails in the Finance team mailbox.
· Support contract managers with financial administration of contracts.
· Create supplier accounts and complete month-end reconciliations.
· Assist the Finance Support Manager with ad-hoc finance tasks.

Essential Skills & Experience:
· Experience in a financial administrative role.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
· Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills:
· Experience using accounting software (e.g., SAGE, ORACLE, eFinancials).

Additional Information:
· Location: Hybrid/Remote (Option to work from nearest office in Inverness or Edinburgh)
· Contract Duration: 6 months (with the option to extend up to 12 months
· Hours: 35 hours per week
· Security Clearance: Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) required.
