Are you passionate about crafting impactful communication strategies?
ASA are seeking a Communications Officer to support our public sector client with key strategic projects aimed at enhancing digital learning and teaching experiences.
About the Role
As part of the VLE Excellence Programme and Short Courses Platform, you’ll:
- Create high-quality content in alignment with project communication strategies.
- Manage and update SharePoint and website content.
- Plan project milestones, schedule communications, and analyse digital engagement data.
- Coordinate user group meetings, engagement activities, and administrative tasks.
- Develop impactful written communications and engaging multimedia content.
What You’ll Bring
Essential Skills:
- Expertise in content creation and digital communication.
- Proficiency with Office 365, SharePoint, and web editing tools.
- Experience managing social media platforms, such as Twitter and blogs.
- Strong understanding of data protection and accessibility standards.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working within higher education environments.
- Familiarity with hybrid meeting tools like Microsoft Teams.
- Awareness of current trends in learning technologies.
Additional Information
- Hybrid working (Edinburgh-based, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office).
- Full-time, 35 hours per week (generally 9 am-5 pm, flexible arrangements considered).
- 6 month contract with the possibility of extension.
