Our client is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join their busy team in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, be highly motivated, and can work autonomously while ensuring quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

. Independent Programming: Program CNC machines for various machining tasks, utilising software such as FANUC, Siemens, or similar systems.

. Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring optimal performance and precision.

. Blueprint and Technical Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.

. Tool Selection and Setup: Choose appropriate cutting tools and machine settings for each job.

. Quality Control: Monitor machining processes and ensure parts meet precise specifications and quality standards.

. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure consistent operation.

. Production Monitoring: Track production progress, identify issues, and make necessary adjustments.

. Safety: Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organised work space.

Skills and Qualifications:

. Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with independent programming ability.

. Proficient in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, FANUC, Siemens).

. Experience with a range of CNC machines (e.g., milling, turning).

. Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

. Familiarity with health and safety standards in a workshop environment.

Qualifications:

. Relevant CNC machining qualification or apprenticeship preferred.

. Experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
