ASA Recruitment is looking for talented and dedicated Care Assistants to join our established and reputable Care Home network in Edinburgh. We need people who put resident’s care at the heart of everything they do, going the extra mile to maintain a safe and supportive environment for both residents and fellow carers.

Key Responsibilities
· Assist residents with personal care (Bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming) in line with individual care plans.
· Support mobility and transfers safely, using appropriate equipment where required.
· Promote dignity, choice, and independence while respecting resident’s rights.
· Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering meaningful relationships with residents.
· Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
· Encourage engagement in recreational and social activities to enhance resident’s wellbeing.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents following health and safety principles and risk assessments.
· Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the wider care team.
· Document care provided and report any changes in resident’s health or wellbeing to senior staff.
Requirements:
· UK Care experience
· Valid Right to Work in the UK
· CV covering 10 years work history
· PVG Update required through ASA
· Registration with the SSSC
· Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
· Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic
· Flexibility to be able to cover Days, Nights and Weekends
