Are you a skilled accountant with a passion for delivering accurate financial support and analysis?
ASA are seeking an experienced accountant to work alongside out large-scale public sector client on an interim basis to provide essential support to their Accounting Team. This role offers remote working with main office based in Dundee.

Role Summary:
As Interim Accountant, you will play a key role in budget monitoring and reporting for the organisation, ensuring their financial operations run smoothly during this transition. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards of financial management and supporting decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and deliver budget monitoring reports.
· Maintain accurate ledger records and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
· Provide financial advice and support to budget holders.
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
· Utilise advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyse financial data.
· Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all numerical tasks.
· Manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines independently.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
· Membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or part-qualified in a professional accountancy qualification (e.g., CIPFA, CA, ACCA, ACMA).
· Demonstrable experience in:
o Budget monitoring and reporting.
o Providing financial advice and support.
o Ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations.
o Using Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills.
· Strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Skills:
· Experience in a public sector financial environment.

Additional Information:
· A Standard Disclosure is required for this role.
· Initial 3 month contract (inside IR35) with potential to extend for an additional 3 months.
