Gas Monitoring Officer

Do you have an ACS gas qualification and experience of monitoring contractors’ gas safety regulations within a domestic property setting? We are seeking a Gas Monitoring Officer for a 6 month contract based in East Lothian.

As a Gas Monitoring Officer you will carry out quality checks for approximately 8,000 domestic properties to improve service for customers and ensure our client remains legally compliant and meets their statutory obligations.

Duties include:

· Liaising with tenants and, internal and external partners, to ensure resolution of customer related issues
· Inspecting new gas installations to ensure compliance with specification and quality of workmanship
· Inspecting domestic gas repairs, remedial works, voids, etc. to ensure best value, quality of service and customer satisfaction
· Liaising with external contractors to implement and manage installations, repairs and maintenance contracts
· Ensuring awareness and compliance of current legislation in terms of Gas Safe/statutory compliance

Essential

· Driving licence and own vehicle
· ACS qualification
· Sound knowledge of current legislation including health and safety
· Computer literacy
· Good verbal communication and report writing abilities
· A wide range of domestic gas industry experience relating to servicing, repairs, maintenance and installations
