Technical Project Support Technician

Description

We are looking for a Technical Project Support Technician to join our clients team within the public sector based in Edinburgh. The contract will start in late October and run for a maximum ten months duration.

The project is looking for someone with a broad range of skills with a focus on the ability to work with the project team. To deliver a modernised telephony service to members and their support staff.

Main duties included in this particular role would be the collation of data from their systems. To cover spreadsheets that will rollout the new services provided.
Engage with staff and all technical IT specialists to ensure the successful user adoption. Complete the scheduling of the rollout of the new service.
Supply basic VoIP and IT troubleshooting and to support floorwalking for example.

Essential Skills required:
* Excellent communications skills, and a confident customer-focused manner
* Is well organised and with good attention to detail with asset management and documentation
* Is self-motivated and has good inter-personal skills
* Experience of engaging with a similar customer base, preferably in a public sector environment, to deliver new / upgraded IT services
* Recent experience of providing basic IT troubleshooting and support for new systems and services
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Desirable Skills required:
* Experience of using an incident management software, preferable Assyst, to record support incidents and update configuration items
* Good problem solver and uses own initiative
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications in Office 2016 and Office 365

This role would be based in central Edinburgh working Monday to Friday.
