ASA Recruitment is delighted to be working alongside our client based in the South Lanarkshire area to find an experienced Electrical Designer.

In this permanent role you will have:
. HNC/HND Electrical Engineering
. Experience of designing electrical installations for Offshore/Petrochemical Industries
. Experience of Designing electrical Systems for use in hazardous areas.
. Demonstrate knowledge of electrical Engineering
. PDMS Knowledge

Main Duties:
Development / production of the electrical design documentation to meet the contract requirements using PDMS, Autocad and Microsoft Office. Documents such as:

. Modelling in PDMS/E3D of all E&I equipment including cable tray, supports, lighting, etc .
. Cable Tray Routing Drawings
. Cable Routing Drawings
. E&I Equipment Layout Drawings
. Lighting Calculations / Layouts
. Electrical Cable Schedule
. Hazardous Area Schedule
. Single Line Diagrams
. Earthing Drawings
. Liaise with the Electrical Engineer on identification and selection of electrical equipment for compliant project documentation.
. Integration of the EC&I design with rest of the equipment/structure and other departments, such as Process, Structural, etc.
. Checking of in-house documentation from other departments.
. Review/validation of vendor documentation.
. Implementing and contributing to the development of the electrical design and procedures to ensure that all contractual requirements are achieved in a safe and cost effective manner.
To carry out such tasks within his/her capability as required by the Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Manager
