Care Assistant

We are recruiting for Care Assistants to support one of our local authority clients in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire. You will be based in a local care home which is home to up to 32 residents. There is a handy bus stop nearby making this a convenient location for those travelling from Aberdeen or Inverurie on public transport. There is also free parking within the vicinity for those driving to work.

You will be a key part of a team of healthcare professionals, committed to providing the highest level of care to residents while maintaining dignity and independence. There are regular social activities to get involved with allowing you to have some fun alongside the residents you are working with.

Our ideal candidate has strong listening and communication skills and is passionate about what they do. You should be honest, trustworthy and reliable to apply for this position. A PVG certificate is required along with willingness to join SSSC within 6 months of work if not already a member.

Responsibilities Include:

• Carrying out intimate personal care and manual handling
• Providing physical and emotional support
• Building rapport with residents, their families and other members of staff
• Contributing to general housekeeping duties as required
• Encouraging participation in activities and group events
