ASA Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Machinist with Horizontal Boring Mills experience for their Aberdeen based client based in Dyce.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing components as per drawings detail at a predetermined quality standard. Effectively and efficiently while maintaining a safe working environment.

Duties and Requirements :

* Setting up and operating Horizontal Boring Mills/Milling Machine Centres as required by the supervisor.
* Working to Manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures, checklist and operation manuals.
* Continually review processes and suggesting, implementing productivity procedures.
* Working to COSHH regulations, risk assessments and work procedures.
* Stamping and de-burring components as appropriate.
* Responsible for quality and first past yield.
* Ensuring all tooling removed is documented correctly and then returned to it’s appropriate location when not in use.
* Ensuring equipment is maintained in good working order and faults are reported immediately to the supervisor.
* Ensuring own safety and safety of others.
* Ensuring lifting equipment is safely stored in it’s appropriate location when not in use.
* Keeping works areas tidy and free from obstacles.
* Working on various machines.
* Assisting with training as required by supervisor.
