Are you currently working in a technical environment and looking for a new contract opportunity as a Property Officer?

ASA Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a full-time Property officer for an initial 6 month contract within a major public sector body. The successful candidate will help provide a property management service covering properties throughout a defined geographical area in central Scotland

The role includes building inspections and surveys, provision of reports and budgetary and quality control of works amongst a range of other important daily tasks

The Role:

• To provide a comprehensive service in relation to the management of property and provision of property services, utilising departmental systems and procedures
• To maintain and develop the best working relationships possible, including liaising with strategic managers, employees and external stakeholders
• To provide supervisory support in the monitoring and control of on-site activities for both maintenance/repairs
• To undertake inspections and surveys, provide reports and budget costs as required
• To comply with all departmental delegated budget responsibilities to ensure value for money and best value

Successful candidates for the Property Officer role will need:

• A sound technical ability and experience in property work and maintenance
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to create informative and accurate reports
• Experience in compliance in relation to property design, construction, property assets and use
• Full membership of a relevant professional body would be desirable
• Ability to travel for the post with occasional stays away from home
