IT Project Manager

ASA are currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager on an initial 6 months contract in Glasgow.
The role is a great opportunity for anyone looking to work with a large public sector client on a significant digital transformation project. The primary purpose of this project management is to lead, oversee and ensure the successful delivery and management of Digital Transformation projects.

Key responsibilities include;
· Project Manage integrated IT technology and digital solutions deliverables, putting in place professional, robust and effective project management mechanisms and documentation to control, manage and deliver assigned IT and digital projects successfully.
· Guide and direct project team members throughout the project life cycle, and engage with project and technical staff, stakeholders and suppliers to design, control and deliver the desired project outcomes
· Detailed tracking of project plans, providing status reports and other required communications to highlight progress against agreed baseline plans and to ensure project delivery transparency

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills;
· Knowledge and experience of project management methodologies in delivering IT solutions
· IT Technical knowledge
· Experience of project management and in delivering complex and wide-ranging IT infrastructure projects across digital programme portfolio.
· Experience of working in an ‘Agile’ project or other appropriate dynamic applications development and delivery methodologies
· Previous public sector experience is desired
