Business Analyst

ASA are currently seeking a Business Analyst on an initial 6 month contract for a large public sector body in Glasgow

This role would be ideal for someone looking to play an integral part in a large scale nationwide project. The project includes involvement in business analysis, requirements and definition management, business modelling and business process improvement

Task will include but are not limited to;
· Develop use cases to capture the as is business processes
· Designing / implement to-be business processes, use cases and identify alternative solutions that will exploit new technologies and introduce new process improvements
· Leading the requirements gathering and definition management process that will inform the project scope.
· Working on projects within a PRINCE2 and/or Agile environment
· Key areas of work that are vital to the delivery of the project include, but are not limited to:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills;
· Solid track record of business analysis in a digital/ICT project environment
· Displays techniques, and practices including writing user stories, acceptance tests and documenting technical requirements
· Experience of running and facilitating workshops.
· Proven track record of interpreting customer business needs, documenting workflows, and translating these into operational requirements.
· The post holder should have experience of working in both Agile and Waterfall environments
· Effective consulting skills
· Demonstrable and practical experience, in a project environment
· An exposure to project methodologies such as Prince2, Agile
· Public sector experience would be adventurous
