Description

We are working with a client who requires an experienced Time & Attendance System Business Analyst /Project Manager to join their current IT Team within their organisation HQ in Edinburgh.

Job description:
* Capture & document the business requirements around time & attendance recording, reporting and interfacing with other systems and data.
* Work with the procurement team to identify, score and select a suitable off-the-shelf solution.
* Plan, manage and control the customisation, configuration, testing, implementation and go-live of the time & attendance system.
* Work closely with the business users to manage the associated business process changes, including process mapping, transition planning and execution and go-live.
* Deliver on-time and within budget.
* Take a lead in ensuring IT is seen as a positive and proactive part of the business.
* Assemble a project team from the shared-resource pool, then agree, document and track the deliverables assigned to the team.
* Arrange and manage the project board meetings.
* Managing the interface with all BAU and other projects as required.
* Tracking of the IT project spend and escalation as appropriate.
* Act as the representative on the project team for the Head of IT, and providing regular written checkpoint report updates to maintain good communications and understanding.
* Manage the project logs – risks, actions, issues, dependencies, assumptions, questions and manage the action plans around resolving the logged items.

Essential/ desired skills:
* Be knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of IT including applications, infrastructure and data.
* Be adept with Microsoft -Project and Excel.
* The ability to effectively plan and prioritise workload.
* You will ideally have a qualification in Computer Science (or relevant technical discipline).
* Substantial relevant experience in a commercial business and/or public service of similar size.
