Accounts Assistant

Description

ASA are currently working alongside a large customer service focused organisation within the construction sector looking to bring an experienced Accounts Assistant into their team. The role offers a chance for further progression for an accounts professional with a strong grasp on transactional duties. Experience in covering purchase and sales ledger duties along with a background in bank reconciliations and credit control would be ideal. This role will be fast paced and varied, offering the chance for an enthusiastic accounting professional to progress their skills. Candidates studying towards a professional qualification will also be considered.

The Role:

– Covering with purchase and sales ledger duties
– Processing high volume invoices
– Dealing with bank reconciliations
– Ensuring the accuracy of ledgers
– Covering credit control duties, chasing payments via telephone, email and letter
– Allocating cash as and when required
– Dealing with and resolving varied queries
– Ad hoc duties as required

The Person:

– A background dealing with broad transactional duties
– Strong Excel skills
– Experience having dealt with accounting systems
– A positive attitude and willingness to learn
– A dynamic, adaptable approach to problem solving
– The ability to multitask and prioritise workloads

This position offers the chance for an ambitious Accounts Assistant to take on further duties and assist across the accounts team. On offer is a competitive salary between £19,000 and £21,000 dependent on experience.
