Description

ASA Recruitment currently have a requirement for a Clerk of Works to operate within the Greater Glasgow area for one of our prestigious local authority clients carrying out pre/post surveys on electrical installations.

Duties Include:
· Carrying out pre work assessment with contractors and other council staff to agree upon a plan of action regarding the successful rewiring of the housing stock.
· Inspecting the premises to ensure that work is being carried out to the agreed plan.
· Updating and weekly progress reports to the relevant line managers.
· Carrying out post work assessments to ensure that all work is carried out to the current industry standards and within the parameters of the agreed plan of action.

Qualifications/Competences:
· HNC/HND in construction related subject or equivalent trade qualification preferably with an electrical bias.
· Working knowledge of electrical installation regulations ideally 18th edition.
· Knowledge of key housing regulations such as SHQS and EESSH.
· Experience of working with a local authority or Housing Association on large infrastructure projects.
