Migration Engineer

Description

ASA are looking for experienced Migrant Engineers with excellent awareness and skills to join a existing team on a six month contract to start asap.

Based in Midlothian we require candidates to satisfy the requirement of an application migration team.

Comprising of the below skills in order to deliver the migration of the our clients legacy estate on to its new technology platform.

Skills required:

– Puppet – Experience with the implementation and configuration of Puppet Enterprise and CD4PE. The candidate(s) must also have experience with writing Puppet tasks and the orchestration of tasks across many nodes.

– Linux – Must have a minimum of 5 years experience deploying, configuring and administering Linux operating systems. Preferably, RedHat/CentOS distributions.
Certifications demonstrating experience and competence in one of these distributions would be beneficial.

– Apache – Deploying, configuring and administering Apache web servers running on Linux operating systems. Additional experience in Apache Tomcat based applications would be beneficial.

– Jboss – Configuring and administering Java based applications running on Apache Jboss middleware

– Vmware – Experience in configuring and administering Vmware solutions, experience in deploying Vmware solutions is desirable. The candidate(s) should have experience in recent versions of Vmware (ESXi 5.x – 6.x).

– Storage – Administering enterprise storage array networks, preferably NetApp solutions.
