ICT Desktop Analyst

ASA are working with a public sector client who is currently recruiting for a Service Desk Analyst on an initial 6 month contract in the Hamilton area of Glasgow.

The role of the Service Desk Analyst is to provide a high quality and customer focused first line support service to all end users in line with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and to ensure proper ICT computer and peripheral operation to allow end users to accomplish relevant business tasks, adopting ITIL standards as best practice.
The role includes receiving, analysing, prioritising, recording, documenting, monitoring, assisting in the management of, and actively resolving end user service requests, fault reports and IT-related job or equipment requests, via the departments IT Service Management (ITSM) system. Also, to escalate incidents when considered appropriate and necessary in order to maintain SLA expectations. Incident resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, as well as requiring the provision of remote access help at the desktop level.

Ideal candidate will have the following experience;
· Broad range of ICT knowledge across all IT functions
· Customer focussed and ability to communicate effectively with different people
· Evidence of liaising with IT staff
· Experience implementing IT strategy and policy
· Windows upgrade experience
· Experience in service desk analyst, desktop support or desktop engineer role
· Experience in a fast paced environment
· Emergency service experience is highly desirable.
