ASA are working with a large-scale public sector client who are seeking a Commercial and Finance Manager to oversee financial and commercial aspects of a transformation programme they are undertaking. Responsibilities will include ensuring contracts, costs, and performance metrics align with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and manage financial models to support commercial decisions.
· Analyse trends and provide insights to drive service improvements.
· Ensure effective commercial management of ICT contracts and suppliers.
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise financial and contractual performance.
· Present complex financial data to senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
· Drive data-led service excellence and cost-effectiveness.
Essential Skills & Experience:
· Strong financial modelling and commercial management expertise.
· Proven experience in a complex commercial environment.
· Ability to analyse and present financial data effectively.
· Skilled in managing supplier relationships and driving performance improvements.
· Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
· Experience in local government finance and procurement.
· Commercial and financial management experience in an IT environment.
· Understanding of the Council’s political and decision-making structures.
