Description

Are you an experienced Cloud Data Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact cloud data infrastructure? Join a public sector project focused on modernising legacy systems with AWS to support the creation of a scalable, secure, and efficient Cloud Data Warehouse. This role offers an exciting chance to optimise and implement ETL pipelines for seamless data integration, performance, and scalability.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Implementing and optimising ETL pipelines in the AWS environment.
Automating data transfers from on-premises Oracle databases to AWS.
Collaborating with ETL Engineers to ensure seamless integration.
Setting up monitoring and logging for performance and reliability.
Optimising data ingestion processes for improved scalability.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data pipelines.
Documenting engineering processes and adhering to best practices.

Key Skills & Experience Required:
3+ years of experience in data engineering, specifically ETL pipeline development.
Expertise in AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, S3, and Redshift.
Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or related languages.
Solid experience in data pipeline monitoring and performance optimisation.
Familiarity with Oracle database structures and data migration strategies.

Desirable Qualifications:
AWS Certified Data Analytics or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
Hands-on experience with large-scale cloud data warehouses.
Familiarity with DevOps practices for data engineering workflows.
