ASA are currently recruiting for a User Researcher to join their Public Sector client based in Edinburgh.

About the Role

As a User Researcher, you’ll:

• Plan, design, and execute user research to understand user needs, behaviours, and challenges.
• Utilise various research methods, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis.
• Partner with service designers and business analysts to transform user insights into actionable strategies.
• Advocate for user needs, ensuring they remain central to project decisions.
• Collaborate with the project team to align with Digital Scotland Service Standard (DSSS) criteria and principles.
• Document and communicate research findings to guide the development of user-focused solutions.
• Support the creation of personas, user journeys, and scenarios to inform design.

What You’ll Bring

• Demonstrated expertise in user research within digital transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Understanding of the Digital Scotland Service Standard and its use in government initiatives.
• Exceptional skills in communication and engaging with stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.

Additional Information

• Edinburgh based with hybrid working available
• 6 month contract
• Outside IR35
