A public sector client is undertaking a significant change programme to enhance the performance and efficiency of corporate shared services for various public bodies in Scotland. As part of this, we are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Administrator to support the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of Oracle Cloud applications as part of the Shared Services Programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile government project focused on improving service delivery through innovative technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Oracle Cloud Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:
Configuration & Management: Configure Oracle Cloud Fusion applications (notifications, integrations, APIs, SFTP), set up analytics and dashboards, and assist with data migration and data load.
User & Role Management: Create new users, manage roles/permissions, troubleshoot access issues, and remove users as part of the off-boarding process.
Authentication Management: Configure SSO integration with Okta or Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) for global SaaS and PaaS tenancy accounts.
Security & Monitoring: Configure Location-Based Access Control (LBAC), manage IP allow-lists, and monitor Oracle Cloud Guard to resolve issues and implement recommendations to combat emerging threats.
Collaboration: Participate in key decision-making groups such as the Technical Design Board (TDB) and Change Advisory Board (CAB).
Development & Testing Support: Assist with the execution of testing plans and resolve technical issues during testing.
Troubleshooting: Address application performance or technical issues.
Additional Responsibilities (dependent on experience): Manage Oracle PaaS environments, including VCN configuration, bastion hosts, virtual machines, Oracle PaaS environments (such as OIC), and IPSec VPN configuration.
Essential Skills & Experience:
3+ years of technical experience, including working on large-scale system support and deployments.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud configuration, administration, and support, including Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion applications (HCM, ERP, EPM), Oracle Integrations Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Familiarity with 3rd party identity integration, particularly Okta.
BPSS clearance or willingness to undergo the BPSS vetting process.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with Oracle PaaS environment management (VCN, bastion hosts, virtual machines, Oracle PaaS environments, IPSec VPN).
Understanding of security and monitoring best practices in cloud environments.
Candidates must hold BPSS clearance or be willing to undergo the BPSS vetting process.
Contract /Hybrid / with an intially contract of 6 Months and potentially extendable up to 23 Months.
This is an Inside IR35 role.
