ASA Recruitment have an amazing opportunity for you to join our ever-growing Hospitality Team as a Chef.
ASA are currently looking for Chefs to work within Local Care Homes in a various number of locations within Fife which include: Cupar, Methil, Glenrothes, Lochgelly, Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline.

Shift times vary from 8am – 6pm. All roles are Monday-Sunday so plenty of opportunity to pick your preferred days!
Our ideal candidate is currently working within a Chef/Cook role or has previously worked as a chef. You should be an excellent team player. We are also looking for someone who is keen to get stuck in, be hard working and reliable. We’d also expect that you will hold a food hygiene certificate and have a good understanding of your role in the prevention and control of infection and promoting good health and safety practices. Also be able to handle the heat in the kitchen!

The Chef role involves:
· As a chef, we would expect that you will be;
· Preparing, cooking and serving food
· Ensuring that food is presented well and looks appetising
· Ensuring that food is stored according to food hygiene legislation
· Minimising waste levels and disposing of food in an appropriate manner
· Carrying out food and fridge temperature checks, and recording as necessary
· Interacting with our service users on a daily basis
· Obtaining feedback on food, reporting any compliments, comments or complaints
· Making sure to take note of any allergies the service users may have.

What We Offer You:
· Weekly Pay from £13.50 per hour going up to £16 per hour on weekends.

What We Require from You:
At least 6 months of references (one having to be your most recent employer), PVG member due to working within care homes, or are eager to apply to become a member (we will do this through ASA Recruitment).
