Job Title: Caterer
Location: Brightons, Falkirk
Hourly Rate: £14.71
Contract Duration: ASAP until March 2025
Hours: 37 hours per week (reducing to 35 hours starting 1st December)
Shift Hours: Between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm, with occasional evening/weekend shifts

ASA Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client for a skilled and dedicated Caterer. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy and rewarding environment, preparing and cooking a variety of hot and cold meals to meet the dietary needs of a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Catering Manager in delivering high-quality catering services to our client and deputise as required
Oversee meal service to ensure consistent standards and procedures
Supervise and engage with catering assistants
Adhere to Food Safety Scotland guidelines and legislative requirements
Perform routine administration (e.g., food safety checks, weekly checks) and ensure compliance with local and national requirements
Monitor food waste and manage stock levels, advising the Catering Manager on stock replenishment’s
Assist in menu planning and stock ordering to meet customer dietary requirements

Essential Skills and Requirements:

Current Food Hygiene Certificate
Proven experience in a commercial catering environment
Knowledge of legislative requirements and statutory compliance in catering

Enhanced or basic disclosure dated within the last six months (an enhanced disclosure will be required upon start)
