Are you a Social Work professional who is looking for an opportunity to help support a vital charity?
Our Edinburgh based client are looking for a Project Worker to join their team on an initial 4 month contract. The successful applicant will be helping lead the provision of professional and high quality direct support services to children, young people and their families to help our client achieve their organisational strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Relationships with Children, Young People, and Families
- Conduct strengths-based assessments to identify and address risks and needs with families and stakeholders.
- Develop, monitor, and adjust support plans collaboratively to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide direct support, advocacy, and regular reviews to ensure children and young people’s voices are heard and rights upheld.
Operational Requirements
- Manage referrals, record assessments, and maintain alignment with policies and systems.
- Stay current with research, engage in professional development, and support national initiatives.
- Foster service sustainability, organisational goals, and effective internal communication through training and supervision.
Relationships with Others
- Share information with families and partners within best practice and legislative guidelines.
- Represent the organisation in working groups and events, promoting multi-agency collaboration.
- Provide guidance, training, and supervision to staff, volunteers, and students, supporting team development and knowledge-sharing.
Key Applicant Requirements
- Qualifications: Diploma in Social Work or equivalent (e.g. Health, Education) at SCQF level 9.
- Experience: Direct work with children, young people, and families, including group and family sessions, supporting children to express views, and risk management.
- Skills: Creative engagement methods, solution-focused approach, adaptability, strong observation and analysis, and proficiency in MS Office.
- Knowledge: Child development, vulnerability, resilience, child protection, care planning, relevant legislation, and therapeutic frameworks.
- Understanding: Statutory social work roles, children’s rights, and services for children and young people.
The post comes with a maximum salary of £33500 and it would be advantageous if applicant had access to their own vehicle as travel to other sites will be needed.
