Hotel Porter / Receptionist

ASA Recruitment are currently seeking Day and Evening Porters for a 4 star hotel in Edinburgh. These are part-time opportunities work on a rolling 2-week rota. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering great service in a professional manner and be able to work well under pressure. For the right individuals, there may also be opportunities for temporary-to-permanent roles, providing you with long-term career prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

Depending on the shift, duties will include:

• Warmly greeting guests upon arrival and providing excellent service throughout their stay.
• Assisting with guest check-ins and check-outs.
• Escorting guests to their rooms and offering a comprehensive overview of the hotel’s facilities.
• Storing luggage for early arrivals and late departures.
• Ensuring the lobby area is clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
• Assisting in the coordination of housekeeping schedules.
• Supporting breakfast service, ensuring timely and efficient guest service.
• Conducting room and stock checks as required.

Requirements

• Valid Right to Work in the UK
• Proven experience as a hotel porter or similar
• CV covering 5 years work history
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
