Are you an experienced Domain Architect who is looking for an exciting new opportunity?

Our Edinburgh based client are currently looking for a Domain Architect to join their team on an initial 12-month contract as they look to align their development teams to the business domains. You will be working in the customer facing domain and will be responsible for the design and maintenance of products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying, agreeing upon, and spearheading the implementation of technical solutions
  • Enhance systems to make them the primary channel for all incoming applications.
  • Providing support for first registration applications.
  • Facilitating complex, low-volume transactions, particularly those involving multiple subjects.
  • Explore and execute opportunities to enhance automation and streamline operational processes.
  • Aid in the continued refinement of the Title Inaccuracy Enquiries Service.
  • Eliminate dependencies on the legacy Solaris/Oracle infrastructure.
  • Incorporate digital title plan functionalities.
  • Deliver the necessary services to automate TP advance notices.
  • Support the upgrade of application platforms across the domain.
  • Identify strategies to transition on-premises Nginx services to the cloud.
  • Develop a modernisation strategy for online services authentication.
  • Provide architectural guidance for the delivery of the Property Factors Register.

Key Applicant Requirements

  • Designing, achieving consensus on, and implementing technical solutions for software development projects across multiple teams.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to understand context and requirements, including those from Product Management, Service Design, and Operations.
  • Effectively communicating complex topics-whether in writing, verbally, or visually-to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Creating and implementing solutions using service-oriented and event-driven architectures.
  • Gradually replacing legacy enterprise systems with modern solutions.
  • Working within Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Defining infrastructure as code to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Implementing microservices for scalable and maintainable system architecture.
  • Developing within GDS or Digital First (or similar) quality standards.
  • Utilising tools for unit testing and system test automation frameworks to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Employing tools that support rapid development, iteration, and delivery.
  • Proficiency with Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration.
  • Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, S3, Aurora/Postgres, and CDK.
  • Knowledge of Land Registration processes in Scotland.
  • Experience with domain-driven design for complex systems.
  • Understanding of human-centred, research-driven, and inclusive design practices.
  • Using UI pattern libraries to create consistent, tested, and high-quality user interfaces.

This role requires regular working in the Edinburgh office but does offer a hybrid option. This role is Outside IR35/
