Are you an experience Business Analyst looking for an exciting new challenge?
Our client based in Glasgow are looking for Business Analyst on a contract basis initially for a period of 6 months. The applicant will help to map out current governance, assurance and decision-making processes and identify implement opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of governance. You will work closely with senior stakeholders including Executive and Non-Executive Board members across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead the delivery of Business Analysis initiatives, taking ownership of challenges and driving them to successful conclusions.
- Investigate strategic and business needs, developing recommendations for process improvements and business solutions.
- Support the creation of business and digital solution materials, such as using business and user requirements to produce technical specifications or conducting business benefit analyses to support business cases.
- Lead communication with stakeholders, clarifying needs and commitments through consultation and consideration of consequences, while maintaining a focus on user and business needs.
- Develop and apply communication strategies to build relationships, engaging with stakeholders at all levels through formal and informal channels, and resolving conflicts when necessary.
- Identify and capitalise on improvement opportunities, finding innovative ways to enhance reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide effective consultancy and advice to users and stakeholders
- Utilise digital subject matter expertise to investigate and define operational needs, identifying potential options for enhanced outcomes.
- Work in accordance with applicable Digital and Data standards in the Scottish Government sector, including the Scottish Service Standards and the Scottish Approach to Service Design.
- Supporting requirements-gathering for procurement exercise, developing business Cases.
Key applicant Requirements
- Demonstrable experience of delivering business analysis across a range of projects, supporting the delivery of organisational visions and goals
- Experience of using a broad range of business analysis tools and techniques to solve problems in complex governance environments
- Experience in developing and implementing stakeholder management techniques to engage stakeholders, build relationships and understand needs to resolve conflict where required
- Experience of working with a with a multi-disciplinary team, to design and develop process and technical solutions to resolve business problems
