Job Title: Sous Chef
Location: Leven
Hours: 35 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday (flexibility is required)
Pay: £14.60 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to support the catering operation for our prestigious client. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of catering service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the Chef Manager. Key responsibilities include:
Operational Support:
o Assist and deputise for the Chef Manager.
o Ensure high standards of catering service and customer satisfaction.
o Adhere to company procedures, health and safety regulations, and legislative requirements.
Customer and Client Relations:
o Maximise customer satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with site client representatives and customers.
o Deliver a customer-focused service as per KPIs.
o Implement and deliver remedial actions when satisfaction levels do not meet targets.
Team Management and Development:
o Manage and develop catering staff, ensuring appropriate training and staff development.
o Initiate and enforce catering policies, processes, and procedures.
o Recruit appropriate staff and ensure comprehensive induction and training, including coaching.
Financial and Stock Management:
o Monitor financial performance and maintain costs within pre-budgeted targets.
o Manage ordering, invoicing, and stock control effectively.
Standards and Compliance:
o Ensure cleaning and hygiene standards are understood and implemented by team members.
o Safeguard and maintain equipment and appliances.
o Ensure all legislative requirements are met and appropriate systems are in place.
Additional Responsibilities:
o Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the business and the Client organisation.
o Undertake other duties commensurate with the scope of this role.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Proven experience in a similar role within a high-standard catering environment.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Good financial acumen and stock management experience.
· Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
