Are you an experienced working in a Project Management environment and looking for your next challenge?
Our Glasgow based client is looking for a Programme Management Office Lead to work on their projects on a contract basis until the end of March 2025. You will support the Programme Manager and liaise with Project Managers in order to manage all aspects of the Programme Office.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
- Lead the preparation and maintenance of program documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, workshops, and other program events.
Program Coordination:
- Assist the Program Manager in tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Aid in the development and monitoring of program plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely and effective communication and collaboration.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of program activities, decisions, and changes.
- Prepare and distribute regular status reports, meeting minutes, and action item lists.
- Ensure all program documentation is stored in an organised and accessible manner.
Risk and Issue Management:
- Help identify, log, and track program risks and issues.
- Support the development of mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing enhancements.
- Participate in lessons learned sessions and contribute to the development of best practices.
Key Applicant Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar support role within a PMO or project management environment.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Certification in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is an advantage.
- Experience in a local authority and public sector would be beneficial.
Please note that to be considered for this vacancy you will need to live within a commutable distance of Glasgow due to the need of attending regular face to face meetings within the region. This role is Outside IR35.
