Responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook meals adhering to specific dietary requirements
· Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, considering texture-modified diets
· Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
· Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food safety and hygiene standards
· Collaborate with care home staff to tailor meals to resident’s needs and preferences
· Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as necessary
· Work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively

Requirements:
· Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a care home or health care setting
· Strong knowledge of different techniques and nutrition
· Excellent attention to detail and creativity in meal preparation
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
· Valid food hygiene and food allergen certificate
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Compassion and understanding of the unique needs of care home residents
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
