Housekeepers in a care home play a key part in ensuring service user’s lives are made as pleasant as possible, through keeping all areas of the unit and wider care home in a clean and hygienic state. We are delighted to be recruiting for a Housekeeping Assistant on a permanent basis for one of our care home clients in Banchory, Aberdeenshire. The care home provides high quality residential care for up to 34 older people in single rooms, all with en-suite facilities.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure the level of cleanliness throughout the property complies with company standards
· Assist other staff members in all aspects of housekeeping, as directed by senior staff
· Assist service users in maintaining their personals space within the unit in accordance with the service user’s personal plans.
· Attend and participate in staff meetings and training
· Be aware of issues in relation to control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH)
No direct experience is necessary however previous experience in a similar role in a Healthcare setting would be an advantage. You must have basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Office and the internet. A PVG for adults is required as part of this role.
