Media Manager

Description

We are seeking a Media Manager to join a prominent organisation within the communications sector based in Edinburgh. This role involves overseeing communication channels and liaising with media outlets to effectively disseminate key messages and initiatives.

The role is based in central Edinburgh and offers hybrid working. The contract is for an initial 4 months and is inside IR35.

The Role:
As a Media Manager, you’ll serve as the pivotal link between the organisation and media entities. Responsibilities include managing press interactions, addressing news-related issues, creating diverse content across various media platforms, contributing to campaigns, and participating in out-of-hours duties.

Requirements:
· Proficiency in maintaining relationships with media entities to communicate organisational initiatives effectively.
· Understanding the evolving landscape of content creation and distribution across different media platforms.
· Ability to maintain composure during challenging periods, handling external pressures and workload challenges effectively.
· Quick problem-spotting skills and providing timely advice in critical situations.

Responsibilities:
· Manage media interactions to effectively communicate organisational initiatives.
· Address potential news-related challenges promptly and professionally.
· Develop engaging content suitable for different communication channels.
· Contribute to organisational campaigns and collaborate with relevant teams.
· Participate in out-of-hours duties, as required.
