Transformation Security Lead

We are seeking a proficient Security Architect for a significant public body, focusing on a pivotal corporate transformation initiative.
The role is being offered as an initial 7-month contract and is inside IR35. The organisation is based in Edinburgh but the majority of this role can be done remotely, with occasional visits across Scotland required.

The Role:
Joining the Transformation Design and Architecture Division, this role involves ensuring the secure design and construction of solutions within the corporate transformation portfolio. You’ll focus on addressing information security risks, establishing security architecture policies, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure top-tier data security across services and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
· Ensure the secure design and implementation of solutions within the corporate transformation portfolio.
· Develop and establish security architecture policies, standards, and design patterns.
· Review architecture definitions to align with business requirements and security standards.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to advise on security architecture and controls across multiple bodies.
· Work closely with external suppliers and integrate security in all aspects of corporate service transformation.

Requirements:
· In-depth technical expertise across application, data, and technology architecture.
· Extensive experience in designing secure solutions, especially in cloud services environments.
· Proven track record in developing security architectures aligned with recognised standards and policies.
· Strong stakeholder management skills to engage with internal and external senior stakeholders effectively.
