Project Manager

Description

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a range of diverse projects within a public body. This role involves overseeing an array of IT projects, including an Oracle cloud migration, Microsoft server OS upgrades, and connectivity enhancement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in successfully managing intricate projects from inception to completion, showcasing excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

The role is being offered as an initial contract of 6 months with the option to extend further, and is inside IR35. The role is based in Edinburgh with a lot of flexibility for work from home.

Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage a portfolio of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and specified scopes.
· Lead the Oracle cloud migration project, implementing a comprehensive migration plan.
· Coordinate Microsoft server OS upgrades in collaboration with technical teams.
· Analyse network performance and execute connectivity improvement initiatives.
· Communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders.
· Proactively manage project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and contingency plans.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and achieve project goals.
· Maintain thorough project documentation, including plans, reports, and risk assessments.

Requirements:
· Proven experience in leading and delivering complex IT projects.
· Demonstrable proficiency in Oracle cloud infrastructure and migration methodologies.
· Understanding of Microsoft server OS and network administration principles.
· Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and in a team within a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent organisational and time management skills.
· This is a six-month contract with potential extensions based on performance.
