Platform Engineer

Description

Here at ASA we are looking for an experienced Platform engineer to support and enhance the existing storage and computer platform for our public sector client.

The role
You will be part of the site resilience team implementing efficiency and savings and additions to the existing platforms.
Responsibility
· Collaboratively deliver VMWare stretch cluster
· Enhance VM management tooling and suggest/implement improvement for VMSC options
· Support build of Oracle KVM clustering
· Support potential data-centre re-location of services

Requirements
· VMWare 7.X multi-site environments
· Cisco UCS
· NSX environments
· Platform monitoring solutions and paradigms
· Fibre Channels Fabric, including Brocade switching

Package
· 12-month contract
· Mostly Remote (in Edinburgh for physical hardware)
