Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Product Lead to join a prominent public body in Scotland as part of their continued digital transformation. The organisation has multiple locations in Scotland, and as such the role can be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh on a hybrid basis. The role is being offered as an initial contract of 12 months with the option to extend further and is inside IR35.

The Role:
The role is ideal for an experienced Product Lead who can confidently oversee the development and improvement of the various systems and tools being used by the organisation to ensure they work effectively and as intended for the end users. We are looking for someone to be at the forefront of designing and delivering user-centric products that can directly impact the experience of the end users.

Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage the day-to-day analysis, design, and planning of product development within a significant program aimed at establishing services related to end users.
· Understand the broader context and relationship of your specific product within the overall program’s objectives and its various components.
· Play a key role in the design and development of product functionality to address user, manager, and stakeholder needs effectively.
· Develop and prioritise detailed product descriptions and delivery plans that align with user requirements while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
· Interpret user research findings to inform and make well-informed product decisions that meet user needs.
· Apply product management principles and best practices to guide product development and delivery.
· Communicate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, establishing credibility and fostering collaborative relationships.
· Recognise the importance of managing relevant project management tools and their relevance to project success and progress.
· Possess an understanding of tools like Confluence and Miro boards to support project-related tasks.

Requirements:
· Demonstrate a consistent track record of thriving in fast-paced settings by proactively identifying and implementing suitable solutions to address evolving challenges and demands effectively.
· Build and nurture strong interpersonal relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating seamlessly with them to ensure successful project outcomes, utilising Agile development methods.
· Effectively plan and oversee products while managing Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) to enhance project success and mitigate potential issues.
· Efficiently gather, organise, analyse, and utilise information for strategic planning, presenting complex data to diverse audiences in both written and verbal formats, including staff and senior leaders.
· Apply extensive project management experience to handle complex projects within challenging time lines, using a clear understanding of Agile methodologies within the Scrum framework to optimise project execution.

Package on Offer:
· Initial contract of 12 months with the option to extend further.
