ASA are currently seeking an experienced data specialist to join a public body in Scotland as a Data Quality, Cleansing and Migration (QCM) Lead as part of an ongoing mission to improve services being provided.
We are looking for someone who can confidently lead on this based on strong experience and expertise in data analysis.
The role is based in Glasgow but can be remote-first with only occasional office working required. The role is being offered as a contract position until May 2024 and is inside IR35.
The Role:
The role will see you working with and controlling the data quality, cleansing and migration processes within the public body. The position is vital to the overall success of the data quality initiatives, particularly in pre-migration data cleansing and working closely with project work streams and so on.
This role is part of the leadership team and will see you work closely with various stakeholders, both internal and external. If you are looking for a new challenge and to make a significant contribution to a data team then this is a fantastic opportunity.
Responsibilities:
· Efficiently manage budget impacts and changes within the Shared Services Programme.
· Collaborate closely with multiple project workstreams, business units, third-party vendors, and resources to ensure successful data quality, pre-migration cleansing, migration, and reconciliation.
· Oversee data quality, cleansing, migration, and reconciliation deliverables and resources for the project.
· Apply global data standards, policies, and data domain strategies.
· Act as a member of the Project Leadership team and manage data migration-related elements.
· Manage the complete data migration process, ensuring high data quality.
· Identify and resolve issues within the workstream and escalate as needed.
· Ensure the adoption of data delivery methodologies and standards.
· Generate and maintain data documentation to support all data deliverables.
· Manage project risks in coordination with the Programme Director.
Requirements:
· Proven experience in a similar role.
· Strong understanding of data quality and data management processes.
· Proficiency in managing budget impacts and changes.
· Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work with multiple project workstreams, business units, and external vendors.
· Experience in data migration, including data cleansing, extraction, mapping, validation, and loading.
· Familiarity with global data standards, policies, and data domain strategies.
· Ability to ensure high data quality throughout the migration process.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
· Familiarity with data documentation practices.
· Strong understanding of project risk management.
· Previous experience working with major cloud-based ERP implementations.
Package on Offer:
· Initial contract until May 2024 with option to extend further.
· Inside IR35.
