Solicitor

Description

Are you experienced in Employment or Procurement law with at least 2 years post qualified experience?

We are looking for a Solicitor to work in house within a large public sector organisation to provide a high quality, robust and solution focused legal advice to a variety of stakeholders.

This role is expected to go on for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

You will be providing advice to staff on the full range of corporate responsibilities including:

· Employment
· Procurement
· Freedom of information
· Data protection
· Statutory compliance
· Disputes and claims

Requirements:

· The ability to convey complex legal issues clearly to non-legal professionals
· Experience of analysing highly complex legal issues and evaluating opposing arguments against relevant risks
· Comfortable managing workloads proactively within a high profile, demanding environment
· An understanding of the need to provide advise that is clear, user-friendly and concise
· Public sector or in house experience
· A background of Employment law or Contract/Procurement law
