Looking to get started in the IT world?

ASA Recruitment are looking to source a Hearings and IT Support Assistant for a large Scottish public sector inquiry. This long term contract role is suitable for candidates based in the Edinburgh area, to work on a hybrid basis.

If you started in this role today you would…

  • Work under the direction of Senior Managers to co-ordinate and work alongside external contractors, to develop, implement, support and maintain the systems required for the Inquiry’s oral hearings
  • Operate the audio-visual solution for hearings, and where necessary seek advice from appropriate providers to find technical solutions, with training provided
  • Support Inquiry teams in matters relating to the Inquiry’s ICT hardware and systems, co-ordinating with the larger IT department and others as necessary
  • Monitor, track and distribute office IT equipment as required, ensuring inquiry staff have access to appropriate IT equipment as needed, co-ordinating with the IT department as required

So, what are we looking for?

  • Qualification in IT would be advantageous but not essential
  • Keen interest and proven track record in adapting and embracing new technology
  • Demonstrable experience of problem solving through strong communication
