There is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join a large public body that is undergoing a large digital transformation.
The organisation is operating a hybrid working policy with occasional visits to offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh being required.
The role is an initial 12-month contract with the option to extend further and is outside of IR35.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer who is highly specialist in this platform to contribute significantly to the continuous improvement of the public body’s IT services. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running with the existing team, making use of agile delivery methodologies to enhance the platform.
Responsibilities:
· Design and create user-friendly Service Portal forms.
· Develop efficient backend workflows (Flows).
· Provide technical support.
· Resolve and escalate ServiceNow-related issues and risks.
· Proactively monitor, maintain, and support system performance, data, capacity, and capability, recommending improvement opportunities.
· Offer training, guidance, and ‘Show and Tell’ sessions for developed solutions.
· Create specialist knowledge and governance documentation to support best practices and establish standards for ServiceNow.
· Conduct patching activities.
Requirements:
· Strong understanding of platform mechanics, best practices, and CMDB & Asset Management.
· Work with Import Sets, Transform Maps, and Integration.
· Familiarity with Risk and Information Governance, Teams integrations, and Major Incident Workbench.
· Proficiency in HTML, XML, CSS, JSON, and JavaScript development within ServiceNow.
· Exposure to Agile working methods.
· Develop in at least one of these areas: Self-Service Portal (beyond Catalogue Items), AD Integration, Scoped Applications.
· Strong teamwork, self-management, self-initiative, coaching, collaboration, and communication skills.
Package on Offer:
· 12-month initial contract with option to extend further.
· Contract is outside of IR35.
