An exciting opportunity has become available for a Data Analytics Developer within an existing high-calibre data team providing services to a large public body in Scotland that provides services on a national level. Due to the growth of the team, there are three developers required.
The role is based in Edinburgh but can be very flexible with WFH.
The Role:
This role is for an experienced Data Analytics Developer who can confidently hit the ground running with the various tasks involved in the role. Ideally, you will have strong experience working with data engineering projects and be very comfortable with the relevant software and programmes.
The aim is to work with the data and data team to provide expert insights and solutions for the relevant projects. The successful candidate will be crucial for efficient data analysis, engineering, and architecture, contributing significantly to project success and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
· Provide expert data architecture and engineering for large-scale National Programmes.
· Collaborate on service delivery projects with various stakeholders.
· Analyse requirements, design and build data solutions, including data models (physical and virtual) and ETL processes.
· Ensure testing and smooth transition to BAU.
· Adhere to NSS standards, undergo peer reviews, and document as required.
· Work closely with the data and analytical team and collaborate within the delivery team comprising BI Team and business units.
Requirements:
· Strong experience in a similar role and working on large data projects.
· Strong data architecture and data engineering skills, including data integration, wrangling, and ETL.
· Advanced SQL skills.
· Proficiency in SAP Data Services or equivalent ETL tools like Informatica.
· You may also have experience with the following software: Denodo Data Virtualization; Snowflake; AWS; Tableau; BusinessObjects; PowerBI; R / Python proficiency.
Package on Offer:
· Flexible WFH policy with occasional visits to Edinburgh office.
· 6-month initial contract role based inside IR35.
