The Role:
The role is for a Functional and Automation Test Analyst to join an existing development team within the organisation. As the title would suggest, the role is responsible for ensuring that the various systems, software and so on function as intended, with the Analyst being tasked with finding any issues and reporting to the wider development team for resolution. Strong experience in both manual and automation testing is required.
The role is based in Edinburgh on a hybrid basis and is on a contract basis (outside of IR35).
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the Test Manager to establish robust testing frameworks and strategies within CDI.
· Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve testing goals across multiple CDI projects.
· Work with SMEs, BAs, POs, and developers to automate solutions for CDI applications.
· Develop and maintain automated regression tests with version control.
· Lead testing efforts for specific CDI projects.
· Create high-quality testing documents following Agile principles.
· Execute daily automated and functional tests, providing precise reports.
· Efficiently analyse and resolve issues.
· Actively participate in project meetings and daily stand-ups.
· Drive ongoing improvement of testing practices within CDI.
· Manage and document detected defects effectively.
Experience Requirements:
· Hold ISEB/ISTQB Foundation certification.
· Have experience with diverse software delivery and testing methods.
· Possess 5-8 years of technical automation testing experience on significant integration and migration projects.
· Familiarity with testing and life-cycle management tools.
Software Requirements:
· Proficiency in testing tools like JIRA, ALM, and Zephyr.
· Expertise in automating systems, including web, mobile, and interfaces.
· Skilled in using automated testing tools such as Selenium, Webdriver I/O, and Cypress.
· Experience with automated test reporting, particularly using Cucumber.
· Familiarity with version control systems like GIT and Azure DevOps.
· Proficiency in device emulation and API testing, including tools like Postman.
Package on Offer:
· Contract-based role, outside of IR35.
· Monday to Friday, 9-5.
· Hybrid working in Edinburgh.
