Operatons Manager

Are you an Operations Manager looking for a new challenge? Or perhaps you are an experienced Transport Team Lead ready to take the next step? Do you have experience in Transport and all that it entails? If so, we have an exciting new opportunity for you.

Based in Aberdeen you will be responsible for the management and smooth running of our clients facility. This also includes managing 3 small teams including Warehouse day shift, night shift loaders and HGV drivers.

You will be responsible for:-

• Local operational delivery and effectiveness
• Health & Safety for the site
• Maximising commercial performance through the monitoring of KPIs including, customer satisfaction, stock losses and payroll & overtime costs
• Identify and analyse key drivers of performance to establish opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs
• Organise and prioritise workflow processes and enact through delegation
• Ensure high quality customer experience
• Conduct regular 1-2-1 meetings with direct and indirect reports to manage, develop, coach, inspire and motivate
• Manage, in accordance and adhere to company policies, Health & Safety procedures and legislation at all times

What you need to succeed:-

• Ability to act on own initiative, ensuring you engage and motivate your teams
• Experience of Operational management / leadership
• Previous leadership of cross functional teams e.g. warehouse, trade counter
• Experience of working in a transport environment, having an understanding of how an HGV logistics service operates
